Melissa Sutlief

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

ART Trained Therapist
Melissa Sutlief, LICSW, is an Advanced Trained Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) provider who offers a warm, supportive, and compassionate approach to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. She understands that difficult experiences, trauma, anxiety, and painful memories can sometimes feel overwhelming or keep us feeling stuck. Her goal is to create a safe, comfortable space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward healing.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy is an evidence-based approach that uses guided eye movements and imagery techniques to help individuals process distressing experiences, reduce emotional intensity, and develop a greater sense of peace and control. ART can be helpful for individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and other challenges that interfere with daily life.

Melissa believes that healing does not have to mean reliving every painful detail of the past. ART offers an opportunity to work through difficult experiences at a pace that feels manageable, while helping individuals change how those experiences affect them in the present. She meets each client where they are, honoring their individual strengths, experiences, and readiness for change.

Her approach is genuine, down-to-earth, and collaborative. She believes that therapy is not about fixing what is broken, but about helping people reconnect with their strengths, find relief, and create space for new possibilities. Whether you are working through past experiences or simply hoping to feel more like yourself again, Melissa welcomes the opportunity to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and balance.

“You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin healing. Sometimes, you just need a safe place to start, someone to walk alongside you, and the belief that things can feel different.”
