There’s a heaviness you carry that’s invisible to those around you. A heaviness marked by surviving trauma, being the “strong one” in relationships, and wondering if it ever truly gets better. Trauma has a way of shaping us; it alters our emotions, the way we view ourselves & others, our worldview & belief systems, the way we feel in our bodies, and our ability to experience safety in the world. Maybe it feels like trauma has stripped you of your personhood, and you have no idea what it means to begin to rebuild. If you resonate with any of the above statements, you're not alone in carrying the heaviness you feel.
As a licensed counselor, I specialize in religious trauma, and frequently work to help others recover from trauma stemming from adverse religious experiences, religious abuse, or deconstructing their faith beliefs. However, my work is not limited to religious trauma, and I am happy to help regardless of where trauma originated.
I consider it the greatest privilege to be trusted with your story. My practice is rooted in curiosity, care, and operating from a nonjudgmental framework. If you're looking for a place to wrestle with beliefs & experiences openly and honestly, without fear of doing it "correctly" - I look forward to working with you.
