Julie Canterbury

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Master ART Practitioner
I’ve been a counselor in Washington since 2012, and one of the things I love most about my work is helping people through Accelerated Resolution Therapy, or ART.

Sometimes the hardest things we’ve been through stay stuck with us. They show up in our sleep, our bodies, our relationships, or that heavy feeling that just won’t lift. Talking about it over and over doesn’t always help, and for a lot of people it can feel like too much. That’s part of why I’m so drawn to ART.

With ART, you don’t have to tell me every detail of what happened. You stay in charge the whole time. I’ll gently guide you through simple eye movements while you work with your own memories and images, at a pace that feels okay to you. My job is to walk alongside you, keep things steady, and make sure you feel safe.

I care deeply about the people I work with. I’ll never rush you or judge you, and I’ll always respect your story and your choices. I’d be honored to help you find some relief and feel more like yourself again.

If you’d like to talk about whether ART might be a good fit for you, I’d love to hear from you.
