Erin Armer, PhD is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California (PSY31832) and a Master Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Practitioner. She completed her doctoral training at UNC-Chapel Hill and two postdoctoral fellowships at Stanford Medicine, one supporting parents of infants in the NICU and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, and one working with children and families facing serious medical illness. She subsequently served as a Clinical Instructor at Stanford Medicine.

Her path to this work is both professional and personal. She lived through a NICU hospitalization with her daughter. From there, she cared for her through complex medical needs and severe disabilities. Along the way, she learned what it means to navigate a medical system that never sleeps. She also learned what it feels like when parenthood looks nothing like what is expected. During those years, she helped her other two children adjust to life with a sibling who had complex medical needs. Today, she brings this experience to her work with individuals facing life-changing events.

Dr. Armer specializes in trauma and PTSD, birth trauma, NICU parent support, perinatal mental health, and grief and loss. She is also certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C).
