Mary Ellisor
Licensed Professional Counselor
Basic ART Practitioner
With over 10 years of experience in behavioral health, addiction and substance use treatment, and trauma therapy, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change.
My approach to therapy combines evidence-based practices with a down-to-earth, personable style that balances humor, compassion, and a healthy dose of blunt honesty. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel understood, challenged, and supported—not judged. Sometimes healing requires a little laughter, sometimes a difficult conversation, and often both.
I am trained in both EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) , with experience supporting clients through trauma, addiction, and complex behavioral health concerns. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing, so I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, goals, and pace.
My goal is to help you make sense of your experiences, work through what’s holding you back, and develop the tools to move forward with greater confidence and clarity. Therapy can be hard work, but you don’t have to do it alone—and we don’t have to take ourselves too seriously along the way.

My therapist told me I am quite self-aware. I already knew that.
