Rina Gupta
Clinical psychologist
Basic ART Practitioner
After 25 years in clinical practice as a clinical psychologist, I have landed on ART (accelerated resolution therapy) as my preferred method of treatment to address trauma of all sorts. I have been practicing ART for 5 years now and have advanced training.
I currently specialize in first responder, PTSD treatment, however, this therapeutic approach is also very effective with developmental trauma and other forms of trauma exposure. I use an eclectic lens, pulling from DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy) , CBT ( cognitive behavioural therapy), ACT (acceptance, and commitment therapy), and a strengths-based approach.
All of my therapy is guided by what we understand about neuroscience and neuroplasticity. The work actually is designed to redesign your neural network which supports and guides your behaviours and emotions.
We can infuse spirituality when appropriate and requested by the client. I’m here to help you step into your higher-self. Having started out my early career as a child psychologist and slowly progressing to working with the adult population, I do provide services to children, adolescents and adults.
I offer treatment intensives (4 hr sessions ) which can be very effective in moving stuck beliefs.
I also offer psycho diagnostic assessments for people seeking to better understand themselves and establish a solid treatment approach which will cater to specific needs. These assessments can also be very instrumental and accessing school and workplace accommodations, providing information to your family doctor, or for tax disability benefits. Fees should be covered by all insurance policies which cover psychological services, to the max amount permitted by your policy.
I look forward to seeing you!
